School-age Program for Children K-3rd Grade

Summer, Before School, After School, and School Release Days * 6:30 A.M. To 6:00 P.M.

Highpointe Preschool and Child Care provides school-age children with many activities to keep them busy whether in the summer or days off from school. Our large outdoor space is ideal for hours of exploring nature in all the seasons. We will use your child’s creativity to move us through each day while challenging them both mentally and physically and creating memories that will last a lifetime

Our program will follow the interests of the children while being guided by the staff.
This project-based curriculum will include the following experiences:
· Language and Literacy - Book clubs and listening to books
· Health and Fitness - Staying fit, healthy and strong. Outdoor sports and games, walking trips, etc.

· Music & Movement - Some old favorites and our own creations
· Computers and Technology - Learning about computers, the Internet, and devices we use everyday

· Science & Nature - Exploring the world around us through nature hikes to the Mississippi river and Coon Rapids dam.

·Water or Snow Play - Slip n’ Slides and sprinklers in the summer!! Sledding and snow fort building in the winter!
· Cooking - We will explore the kitchen.
· Games - Indoor games, card games, computer games, and board games.
· Plus much more!
